September started off by celebrating Labor Day with an Ice Cream and Hot Dog social . The social was originally planned for the few individuals that did not have any plans for celebrating Labor Day. However, far more gang members participated that expected. A total of 49 individuals joined for lots of fun and fellowship. Ice cream was served along with hot days and chips. It was fun to watch gang members add the extra enhancements to their ice cream such as colored sprinkles, chocolate crust, mini marshmallows, nuts, cherries, whip cream, etc… In addition, Root Beer floats were available as well.
On September 4th. we sang Happy Birthday to the following individuals: Gayle, Robert, Diane, Valerie, Lorraine, Shirley and Jim. The Over The Hill Gang welcomed 11 visitors during the month. We had an average attendance of 50 members with over 233 meals served.
