Looking Back on March 2026

The Over The Hill Gang March birthday wishes went out to Carolyn, Kenneth, Chris, Philip, Rhonda, Josie, Joy, Mike, Sylvia and Kimberly. We welcomed the following visitors: Leigh, Pam, Teresa, Charlie, Darwin, Chris, Barbara, Jamie, Elder Compton and Elder Lynn. Our average attendance for the month was 47 members with over 200 meals served.

On March 2nd. we celebrated Texas Independence Day by having an Ice Cream Social and hot dogs. We had an attendance of approximately 30 gang members. It was very entertaining watching the members add the variety of sprinkles and other assortments to their ice cream. We also had Chris from Bluebonnet Trails Crisis Counseling provide a brief presentation for us. Many thanks to Gary Spivey for his history presentation on March 19th. regarding the history of the various Liberty Hill School Superintendents. Also, our thanks goes out to Jeff for providing BBQ and a casserole for our March 19th. luncheon. Our St. Patrick’s Day acknowledgment on the 12th. was very entertaining with many members wearing green clothing and unique hats.

Unfortunately, we mourn, the passing of our gang member, Angie . Her Memorial Service was conducted on March 14, 2026 at the Cross Tracks Methodist Church in Liberty Hill.

********* March Thoughts **********

Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes. Friends are people who know you really well and like you anyway. My bed is a magical place where I suddenly remember everything I was supposed to do. One advantage of talking to yourself is that you know at lease somebody’s listening.

The Over The Hill Gang Inc. is an organization for those over 50 years old. You are welcome to join us. Membership is free. Thursday lunch is for a $7 donation to cover expenses.

Our weekly luncheon’s and social group continue to meet every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a variety of games and fellowship. Please feel free to contact me at 512/627-9707 for additional information.
