OTHG Luncheon February 8, 2024

Glad everyone is here with us today, and a great Welcome to our new member and A Very Happy 90th Birthday to Ms. Ann one of our charter members.

OTHG ANNOUCMENTS:

As you all now know that our President Jannett Thornburg has resigned her position due to health reasons as of February 1, 2024, so please keep her in your prayers.

Our new President Mike Rutherford was voted in on February 1, 2024, and is doing a great.

Tuesday February 6th, we were going to have a craft day, but I will not be able to here, I forgotten that I have to take my grandson to the airport. So, if y’all want to do it I need someone to step up to get it done.

Thursday February 15th, Gary will be do a “Looking Back at Liberty Hill” starting at 10:30 sharp. Come early and have a cup of coffee and a snack before Gary gets started.

We got our samples of the new OTHG T-shirts in and will be taking orders for a few weeks, we are asking for payment at the time of order, so we can get them in sooner than later.

OTHG Announcements:

Tuesday February 6th, We will be having a craft day, we will be making dream catchers. Please come join us, come early to enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut or snack before we get started around 10ish.

As a pet sitter I get unusual reasons as to why people leave their dog(s) with me. Here’s one of them. One of my clients the other day dropped their sweet, happy bouncy energetic beagle off and I told the man as he turned to leave, “Have a great time.”
He said to me, “Oh, we’re not going anywhere. My wife’s crabby, fussy controlling ol’ Great Aunt Ida is coming to visit and I don’t want anything to make her feel that she’s welcome.”

OTHG ANNOUNMENTS:

Friday Jan. 12th, We will be starting our exercise class at 11am. Also, if you have any other activities you would like to start up, please let us know, all ideas are welcome.

Thursday Jan. 18th, Gary will be starting back with “Looking Back at Liberty Hill” that starts at 10:30 sharp. Come join us for coffee and snack before we started.

We would like to ask if anyone has any kind of food allergies, please let us know so we can keep it in mind as we prepared the food every week.

Also, a reminder that we are asking as you get here and if you are NOT helping in the kitchen to please stay out. As it is such a small space, it makes it harder for those that are cooking and helping to move around in there.

JOKE:

A few years ago, a Baptist minister and a local elderly resident found themselves sitting next together on a flight to Dallas. The flight ended up getting delayed so the flight attendants announced that all passengers would receive complimentary drinks by way of an apology.
When the gorgeous-beautiful young attendant came round with the drink trolley the old man requested a whisky and soda. “And what would you like?” she then asked the Baptist minister. “I would rather commit adultery than drink alcohol!” he snapped. The old man looked confused, but quickly handed his drink back to the attendant and said “I’m awfully sorry. I didn’t know there was a choice!”
