On April 9th. High School Senior, Paityn Nash provided the group with an excellent 30 minute presentation regarding the volunteer work she has been providing for the Liberty Hill Museum. Paityn has been providing volunteer work at the museum for several months each Saturday. She plans to study Biology at Texas A & M University, Corpus Christi this fall.

***** April Thoughts *****

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and try to put things in it. I learned a long time ago that worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere. Life begins at 40–but so do fallen arches, rheumatism, faulty eyesight, and the tendency to tell a story to the same people, three or four times. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow. As you get older, three things happen: The first is your memory goes, and I can’t remember the other two.

Our weekly luncheon’s continue to meet every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. followed by fellowship and a variety of games. Please feel free to contact me at 512/627-9707 for additional information.

The Over The Hill Gang Inc. is an organization for those over 50 years old. You are welcome to join us. Membership is free. Thursday lunch is for a $7 donation to cover expenses.
